NEW: Featured Kitty...

BeiJing One of our branches in NE Scotland have this lovely lad, BeiJing. We believe he may be a Rex cross due to his coat being like a sheep fleece but much softer and he has an oriental shape to his eyes.
He is very friendly and affectionate but is easily alarmed so would be best suited to a home with no other cats or young children. He gets on with dogs and ponies though!
Please click here for more details.

Following a suggestion from Vicki, who was interested in offering a home to one of our cats, I have added a key next to each cat to indicate whether:

Why not have a look at our Home a Cat page for details.

I recently attended the Scottish CP Conference in Aviemore with another 2 volunteers from the branch. Click here for a summary of our hectic weekend. Welcome to the Conference
The beautiful Scottish Wildcat One of the topics discussed at the conference was the Scottish Wildcat. He is an extremely endangered species with only an estimated 400 cats alive in Scotland today. Click here for more information about this wonderful animal.

On a completely different note (and nothing to do with cats), I was helping out preparing for my 7 year old nieces birthday party last weekend. My 9 year old nephew mentioned that one of the girls coming had just had an operation. When I asked what the operation was for, he replied "she's had the testicles in her foot sorted". I suspect he may have meant "tendons", but it made me giggle! Hope it brought a smile to your face too!

If you fancy another giggle, why not have a look at our Feline Fun page for the article on Invisible Cat Toys.

Now that summer is here (or was that just the weekend and now it's over?), this is a good time to remind you about the dangers of the sun. It's not just people who suffer from the sun. Cats can too. If you have a white cat, or a cat with white ears, you might want to read about my own cat, Daisy. I'll warn you now, some of the photos aren't pretty.

Until next time...

Purrrs!
